As Newfoundland and Labrador prepares to reopen to Canadian travellers under our province’s Together Again Plan, I thought it might be a good time to share the All Things Newtown links from my blog. With everything from our sandy beaches, a harp seal whitecoat, to our Heritage Fishing Village, and—yes of course, Perry’s Point!—there’s plenty to read about and tons of photos to enjoy.

Here’s to seeing lots of (vaccinated) Canadian tourists this summer! ☀️

I’m with Luanne and most of your followers. When’s the next flight out! I wish. Soooo gorgeous. I love the posts/photos and I really enjoy the setting you give us in your books. ❤

Aw, you’re sweet, Pam. Just imagine if we could all meet for a writers’ conference here one summer. I know it’s a pipe dream, but it makes me happy to think about the possibility. 🙂

Jennifer, your post highlighting the beauty of your area and province is wonderful! 😀 But it makes it even tougher to know I won’t be making the trip to Canada for yet another year! Enjoy the easing of restrictions and hope it all goes well!

With a little bit more patience, I think we will be alright. It seems we are reaching a turning point in the battle against Covid. So next year, you come on over to see us! As long as it’s not at the same time I’m over there to see you! 😀
Thanks, Annika. xx

Haha! 😀 We better coordinate! At the moment I don’t even dare start making any plans in case it goes wrong again. As matters stand we can’t even fly to Sweden to visit the holiday houses and family. ☹️

I hear you. But with vaccinations ramping up, the end to the pandemic is in sight. Paul wondered if we’d take our UK trip next year but I’m much more hesitant. Maybe in two years. 😊

I’m reading a great book right now that takes place in your area. Oh, wait, you wrote it. Ha ha. I enjoy your posts about your area and that aerial photo gives a great overall glimpse of the point. So beautiful! A great share, Jennifer, of your community. Looks like a wonderful place to live… and vacation. 🙂

Too funny, Diana! 😀 Happy Reading!
Perry’s Point, Newtown was our vacation spot for a number of summers before we actually moved here. In some ways we still feel like we’re on vacation, which makes me think we made the right decision. The rough winters make the summers all the more worthwhile. Thanks for checking out my post! xx

I can imagine the winters are long, but if you’re cozy and warm… who cares. It looks like a beautiful place.

Greetings. The vaccines have enabled normalcy to start to return. I hope that anyone who has refused vaccination will reconsider that position.

So do I, Neil. I feel very grateful for the vaccine, as most are.

This is so wonderful to read that Canada is opening up to the world again. Is this province by province or all of Canada? I really must visit your part of Canada, soon.

Hi Darlene, perhaps I didn’t make it clear that we are reopening as a province to the rest of Canada. And of course it depends on cases remaining low and vaccination numbers being met.
I hope you do get to come for a visit. Newfoundland would love to have you! xx

Oh my goodness, is it ever wonderful! I’m so looking forward to our world returning to some semblance of normal. The light at the end of the tunnel is finally showing a glimmer. I know you’ve already seen some of these posts as I remember your comment on “Skipper Alex.” 🙂
Thanks, Rebecca! xx
