Winter afternoon
peace and quiet so serene
clear and cold and blue
– but I’m never blue with you
in our home beside the sea.

Wow! Beautiful and very cold! Love the poem too ☃☀️

Cold today too, but we braved it and went out for a walk. Thanks! ❄️

Great picture, Jennifer. Yes the bright blue sky and sea are extra nice when you can share them with someone – helps to melt away the cold and ice. Super cold here today – 6 degrees this morning. We had a snowstorm yesterday and none of the roads were treated because it was above freezing, until it wasn’t…always fun 😐 Stay warm!

Thank you, Barbara. 🙂
I heard about the deep freeze you’re having in the states. Positively balmy here compared to there, (I exaggerate) but I commiserate with you. Stay safe!

Yes, we are cold but I think the worst is behind us. Our cars started and the roads are better, And it could hit 60 degrees in a couple days!

It’s been very cold for our friends and relatives in Ontario too. Cross your fingers that the worst of the winter is behind us!

Beautiful. An eloquent image of repose — and I love the picnic table, waiting patiently for the seasons to change.

Thank you, Jan. The table is a fixture that I often overlook, but it works well in this post. 😊

But you may be cold. Or not. That picnic table says a lot, Jennifer.

Aw…I’m sure your husband feels the same, Jennifer. Gorgeous picture, but certainly not a good day for a picnic! Happy Sunday!
