Sunday Snaps: “The Week of the Cat”

It’s been a rather feline week here at home.
You’re probably thinking: “Isn’t every week a feline one at your house, Jennifer?”
Well, yes, but I took more pictures!

Let’s start with Maisie last Sunday.

“You’re playing my favourite song!” 

Then there was a visit from another cat on Monday. Maisie did a double take.

“Hey! You’re not Vivian!”
“Sorry, Mom says you’re not allowed in.”

And to round out the week:

“If it fits, I sits.”
You can win all sorts of things in beer cases now.

Getting back to that 70’s song:

“…She comes out of the sun
in a silk dress running
Like a watercolor in the rain
Don’t bother asking
for explanations

They don’t write ’em like that anymore.

  1. Oh I’m so late to this party – please forgive my tardiness, Jennifer! I love these pictures. Cats are so amusing to me. And as for the boxes, “If it fits, I sits” is exactly right! Hope you had a good week 🙂

    1. No apology necessary, Barbara. I find it hard at times to keep up with the blogs I follow. We can’t be online 24/7.
      I’m happy you liked the pics of our little Maisie. Though they turn 12 this summer, it seems like Maisie is getting cuter!

  7. ‘Not Vivian’ looks just like the newest neighborhood cat that I now feed. Yes, through the window only. Piper is fascinated with her tail and tries to play with it through the glass. Parker just stares and gives ‘the look.’ That has replaced ‘the hiss.’ Cats are a never ending source of entertainment.

  10. Jennifer, you do take some delightful photos. Cats are very photogenic but nevertheless, you need to catch the moment. What about opening the door and see what the two beauties decide? 😊 .

    1. Thanks, Miriam. I’m afraid if I had opened the door to our little visitor, there would have been a major cat fight! I neglected to mention Maisie put her face up against the glass and hissed at him. Meanwhile, Vivian looked on like an old dog. 🙂
