“I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild;
when it is quiet and serene; when it is dark and moody.
And in all its moods, I see myself.”
― Martin Buxbaum

Jennifer, a treat of a post with your wondrous photo, Buxbaum’s obersvations (uttering my own feelings and reflections, I feel) and your beautiful poem! ❤️ I can just imagine standing out on top, staring across the ocean, sensing the ‘exhiliarating breeze’. I spent many moment leaning into the wind on East Sands in St. Andrews, deep in thought! Soon we start university visits as my son checks some out before applications for starting Autumn 2019! Yikes!

Ahh, I can see you now with your hair blowing about, as you lean into a bracing wind and gaze out over a turbulent sea. You are deep in thoughts of your son as he is about to embark on his university career. 🙂
Thank you for your lovely comment, Annika, and have a wonderful week. ❤

The ocean reminds us that we belong to the earth, that we have yet to plumb the mysterious depths of our existence. A marvelous photo – I can feel the sea breeze coming through the WIFI. I love following your blog!! Have a great day.

Nice poem. Not what I expected at the end but definitely what I could relate to. Yes–I’m excited to be traveling this summer. More on that later!

I love that Buxbaum quote. It’s perfect.
I’m so happy warm weather is back. Lets me return to my outdoors evening walks which I love. I don’t like doing it in the cold. That’s where my treadmill and a book come in.

Me too, Carrie. I’m getting more outdoor walks in and less on the treadmill. I find it hard to read on treadmill though, so I listen to music.
It is a perfect quote!!

What a gorgeous photograph, Jennifer. The water looks amazing. No travel plans this summer. I need to stay close to home to help out my father. I do plan to do a lot of writing…at least that’s my intention. 🙂 Happy Sunday! ❤
