Designing abstract images from nature photography can be creative fun. When you play around with your photos to highlight shape, colour, texture, etc., you can come up with some interesting captures.
In this post, I share images from the four seasons.
All but one were taken here in Newfoundland.
Winter in Newtown

Spring

Summer

Autumn in Newtown

Really, some excellent photographs! Am I the only one who takes joy from the sea’s freeform sculptures? Those floes and bergs must rival anything Moore created in his prime…

Thanks, Fred! You are definitely not the only one who loves the icebergs. They are a huge tourist attraction here, but even the locals go crazy over them. 🙂

Wow, these pictures are really great! I especially like the cold Atlantic Ocean and the funnel cloud. I think I would go running if I saw a cloud like that!

Thank you. I ran for my camera when I saw that cloud. Very tornado like!

Beautiful all the way, Jennifer; specially the visuals of cold Atlantic, the iceberg and spring thaw, looking like sugar candies in a syrup.

These are gorgeous. That funnel cloud is quite a catch. And the wet sand–it reminds me of tesselations I show to my students. Who would think that could occur in nature.

Thank you, Jacqui. I was amazed by that cloud; it looks like a tornado. As for your observation of the sand, I had to google tesselations to understand what you said. 🙂
