My Book Signing Event was a success!
The Launch included an introduction and bio, a short author reading of an excerpt from Calmer Girls, question period, and sale and signing of books.
I wish to bestow a huge thank-you to everyone who took time out of their Saturday to attend. It meant the world to me. Several of you even drove from out of town to be there, and for that I am forever grateful. ❤
I also wish to thank Jewel S. Cousens, B.A., M.L.S., NL Librarian with the A.C. Hunter Public Library, Arts & Culture Centre, for all of her valuable assistance, as well as her insight and suggestions for future promotions. Ms. Cousens was happy to tell us that interest in Newfoundland and Labrador books has grown in recent years and continues to grow.
Special appreciation to my husband and family for everything you did to make this past weekend one I will never forget.
I hope you enjoy the photos and the slide show I’ve shared below.

Congratulations on an excellent book launch, Jennifer.
Blessings ~ Wendy

I’ve sometimes had to make speeches and presentations in the past, and I’ve always found it extremely nerve-racking beforehand!
Usually, once I’d been talking for a few minutes, I found I’d used up all my supply of adrenaline and I began to relax, although I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I every enjoyed it.
You’re welcome for the follow, by the way. 🙂

I know how exciting and enervating and deliciously nerve-wracking this must have been for you. Congrats on a job well done!

Thank you so much! I think my years with the Girl Guides helped: living by the motto “Be Prepared”. Otherwise I would have been a nervous wreck. I was surprised I wasn’t more anxious, actually! 😀

We were happy to get out to see you and to buy your book that you signed for us. Mom and Bev really enjoyed it as well. It is too bad we missed Uncle Clarence and Aunt Joyce. Nice pics that you posted of the event. [ð] All the best Jen, xoxoxo

Aunt Joyce and Uncle Clarence were there waiting with the librarian when I arrived! So nice to see them. And of course I was delighted to see all of you there. Your mom was the icing on the cake!
Thanks again for all of your support. 🙂 ❤

Thank you. I started my blog just before I started writing this book, so yes, if it is something you really want to do, go for it!

I’ll be in St. John’s this summer most likely. Where could I find your book? We don’t have a bookstore here.

My book is still in the early stages for distribution and I will know more about it after June 7th. In the meantime you can order the paperback and e-book on Amazon. 🙂

It really is and gives us a sense of accomplishment and that all the work was worth it. People waiting in line to sign my book was quite surreal as you would know! 💜

I enjoyed it, I have to admit. Odd for an introvert but I guess I had myself well prepared!
