WordPress informs me that I have an anniversary. As of yesterday, I have been blogging for fourteen years.
Truth be told—and as many of you know—I don’t blog as often as I used to, but I’ll try to keep posting for a few years yet. And maybe Gord and Lou Purry can do more guest posts to help out!
I have also reached my 2025 Reading Challenge as of yesterday, with fifty books read, all accounted for on Goodreads.

Congratulations! I’ve been blogging since 2011, but left WordPress for Substack a few years ago (traitorous, I know).
As for reading challenges… I started out closer to your number, but mine have dwindled to an embarrassing low (21, plus two that I haven’t yet reviewed), partly because I’ve been doing a lot of editing of unpublished work, which I can’t count in the Goodreads challenge.
Keep up the reading and writing, and all the best for 2026!

I’m still very much here! Moved the blog over to https://audreykalman.substack.com. I’m pretty sporadic on Instagram, but I do like sharing nature/hiking/cooking experiences :-).

That’s a lot of book-reading. Have you ever read more books than that in a calendar year?

Hi Neil. I think the most I’ve read in a year is 54. Over the years, averaging about or almost a book a week. Can’t imagine a life without a book to read. Happy 2026 to you and yours! 💕

This month was 12 years for me. Oh, my girls (and White Paws) would LOVE to hear from your boys! That would be some kind of fun!
It is kind of funny when you said you would try to keep posting for a few years yet. So many have left our blogging world. I always hope they just left because they ran out of things to post….I still worry, though, when all of a sudden they are gone.

Yes, so many of my old blogger pals have stopped posting. I recently went through all my subscriptions and you wouldn’t believe how many have disappeared. Has everyone gone to podcasts?? I don’t think folks are reading more books, I’m pretty sure of that.
