“Books. Cats. Life is good.” ~ T.S. Eliot
Although only one presumptive case of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been announced here in Newfoundland and Labrador at the time of this posting, much of the province has already shut down out of caution.
Thankfully, I still have two of my favourite things to occupy me while I worry: books and cats!
Interestingly, Vivian seems to love books too.
On the other hand, I have no pics of Maisie hanging out with books. Perhaps she’s illiterate? Anyway, it’s all good. She often cuddles up close when I’m reading.
I’m sure T.S. Eliot would have heartily approved.
♥ Stay safe, everyone! ♥
Aww, lovely cat! Vivian wants to read too!lol

Those who don’t “know” or love animals don’t realize how each one has a different personality, just like humans. So much fun. ENJOY!

You are absolutely right about that, Pam. My two cats are sisters but they are distinctly different in many ways. Both very affectionate though. And yes, lots of fun. ❤️

First of all. I want to thank you for your confident story. I think afraid is not a proper solution for coronavirus. But your positive attitude with about books and cats. It helps me to spent time more confident from before.

Hi Jennifer – Vivian has certainly made a claim on those books in the first picture – she owns them, no question! I’ve read a couple of the books in your pile 😉. 1000 Record Covers looks interesting too – is that all kinds of music? Hope you are doing well. Lots of changes here, but everything is okay.

Hi Barbara! Yes, even Viv has the books covered in this house. 😊 That is a great book about music and a way to remind us old fogeys what to look for on Spotify. 😁
We are fine, so far so good, and I hope you and yours are too. Strange times indeed! Take care. xx

So many countries and businesses are shuting down and so many are stockpiling making it difficult for people like me who can’t get out to shops to get these items

We don’t own a cat, but I have more books than I could ever read. As normal, I’ll be going to the day job tomorrow. The bright spot with schools closed, traffic will be a breeze.

Our schools aren’t closed yet, but our university is making an announcement today, so maybe they will follow suit.
Good for you, Jill, looking on the bright side of things. Enjoy your books and take care. ❤

Nothing goes better together than books and pets. We too are reading more. TV gets increasingly boring but not books!

We gave up network TV long ago. A waste of money, especially when we only watched a fraction of programs. Books will never get boring. Either will pets!
