…that is the question.
I took this random photo the other day, but didn’t notice what I had captured until later.
At first, I thought I was seeing two bees on the arms of the chairs, but a closer look clearly shows a bee flying and casting his shadow below.
Two bees or not two bees? Nope, just the one. Please pardon the play on words, but it is Father’s Day after all, and my dad always loved a good pun or a clever turn of phrase.
Miss you always, Dad!

Happy Father’s Day
to all the wonderful dads today!
I wish it were two bees! I’ve seen my first bumblebee of the season–and it’s June. Ugh. Where are they? And how do we save the poor fellers?

They seem scarce around here too. Another sign of an environmental crisis?

I keep reading about it. I just wish they could figure out what was killing them. I don’t use chemicals in my yard. I know that helps. But so many people still do.

Very few use them around here, but I can’t speak for the townies.

No way! I’ve never seen a bee’s shadow. I was sure two bees were two bees. Great pun, great photo, great post. 🙂

A first for me as well, Pam. Had no idea what I’d captured. Thanks! 😊

That’s pretty cool that you captured the shadow so well. I love it! My father loved a good pun, too, Jennifer. 🙂

Such cool serendipity! And as another commented, very Zen. Your tribute to your father is so touching as well.

Thank you. Dad’s love of wordplay has been passed down a bit, I like to think.
Serendipity, I love that.

I had the same take at first, Jennifer. I was wondering how the one bee hung onto the side of the chair so nicely!

Just an example of how the eye is easily fooled!

That’s a big shadow for a little bee! Love those chairs, Jennifer.

It is, isn’t it? I loved that I caught it in flight. Those chairs were built locally—maybe the bee was attracted to the colour yellow. ☀️
