Invincible Summer

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger — something better, pushing right back.” – Albert Camus

This is one of my best-loved quotes.
Small wonder the author won the Nobel prize in Literature in 1957.

  1. Jennifer, a gorgeous photo and your cat exudes wisdom and calm! 😀 I love your quote and the utter belief in strength of oneself, that winter cannot prevail! I’m adding this to my quote file! One of my current favourites quotes is one I included on calendars to family members this year:

‘”Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” — Lao-Tzu

    1. Thank you, Annika, from Maisie and me. 😊 My chosen quote exudes optimism for me, and inner strength can get you through those tough “winters.”
I love your quote too. Both quotes are easy to apply to one’s own life.
How are your book edits coming? 😊

  2. Jennifer, I like the quote you gave us very much. Never give up on our own inner strength.
    Leave you another quote:
Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.”
