Coffee filters have many uses.
All you need is a little imagination.
And a little brother to share them with.
This photo wasn’t taken yesterday – our angels are 10 and 12 now.

“That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up.” ~ Walt Disney
Hey 🙂
I don’t know if you join these things (posting a quote for 3 days). If you’re interested I’ve tagged you here http://elizareasonstolive.com/3-day-quote-challenge-day-3/.
Happy blogging!

Ahh…they look so cute and sweet!! 😀 Household items make the best toys! What do they say about the picture now they’re all ‘big’! I love the quote by Walt Disney … the trick is to grow up but retain the sense of fun and magic in Life! 😀❤️

These two get plenty of fun out of life. My granddaughter, for example, enjoys karate, basketball, skateboarding and junior life-guarding. We could all take a page from her involvement in extra-curricular activities. 🙂 Thanks, Annika!

Fun with coffee filters doesn’t end with the toddler years! Maybe 10 and 12 is too old, but I remember my kids in elementary school would use them for painting projects. Their ability to wick (the coffee filters, that is) makes for some very interesting watercolors.

I’ve never heard of that but it sounds appealing, and very creative. Thanks, Audrey. 🙂

A great way to start my day! Let’s keep on exploring, playing and repurposing. A marvelous reminder to look back at profound and joyful memories.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. There is such a glut of negativity and bad news stories out there. I prefer to highlight the happier side of life because I think we all need it. Thanks! xo

Thanks, Lois. I just now rescued your comment from my spam folder! I wonder why it went there?

I have been having problems with some of my comments. I can see they are not showing and figure, for some reason or another, they have been spammed. No idea why….

I have a couple other followers with the same issue. Really strange, especially if you didn’t change anything about your account.

That is what I looked to see. Honestly, I wouldn’t know how to change anything. And it is just certain bloggers, too, which is really perplexing, Jennifer.

I love the quote too. Too bad so many of us lose our imagination and creativity when we grow up. Such fun to be a child.

Precisely. I remember my boy preferring “the box it came in”!

They remind me of those darling caps women in the ’30’s used to wear. Coffee filters are perfect for hats with the way they shape to stuff.

Hey, you’re right, they are like those caps!

Jennifer, the children are gorgeous and I think the coffee filter hats look good on them. Besides, they might wonder
why you use paper hats for coffee?
Beats the Christmas cracker hats any day.

They definitely beat the cracker hats, Miriam. And I like the way you think, with the clarity and common sense of a child. 🙂
