  1. A wonderfully wonky shed, Jennifer and full of atmosphere – it’s calling out to be explored! 😀 I love the quotes – spanning thousands of years and D H Lawrence is right, some old buildings never lose that warm glow of the hands and love that made them by men long since gone.

    1. Every year that old structure clings more tightly and sinks deeper around the rock, Annika. And I can’t help but think of Paul’s grandfather having this house built that we live in. Despite extensive renovations and updates, it instills a sense of tradition and of days gone by.

      1. Jennifer, I definitely believe a building holds the aura of those before and even more so for family. My grandfather helped build their house (sold now alas) and it was the most special place! My son loved going there as young and is quite adamant that he wants to buy it back one day and live there! Here in the UK we have a lot of old farm buildings gradually falling to ruin and I’m taken with them, photographing them …

  2. Great quotes Jennifer – all the way back to Cicero.:)
Isn’t the old house with wonky angles full of atmosphere. I am sure the perfect modern ones would offer more comfort ….but, I would love a peak into the wooden building. 😊
