Peaceful winter morn
Dressed in snow – the only sound:
Soft moan of the sea.
I wish this was the view from our yard today, but no. This snap was taken last winter when we had snow. Positively springlike all weekend!

Beautiful photo Jennifer. The moaning of the sea resonates with me on these cold days!

I could HEAR the sea’s moans in your haiku. Lovely! But in my mind, you’re LUCKY you’ve been snow-less and warm (or you were). We’ve had a total of about a foot or so, and the earth is white and COLD here in NE. I can’t wait for summer when I can travel to the ocean and listen to it rant and rave. 🙂

Thanks so much, Pam! We have not fared too badly so far this winter, not like many other areas that are getting brutal and extreme weather.
I can’t wait for summer either. It will be nice when that time rolls around again. Have a great weekend! 🙂

So pretty it’s worth sharing again! I can’t believe how blue the sky is. I’m sure you’ll be getting your snow and cold weather soon!

Thank you so much for sharing, Barbara! We have snow on the way tomorrow, but I’m glad. Love a nice white blanket on the ground. 😊

An enchanting winter scene, Jennifer and tender poem. Glad you have Springlike weather this year…we did – yesterday! Gave me a chance to view some bulbs peeking out of the ground, exploring the world of daylight though I think they might regret their early showing.

I know now it was only a brief interlude, a reprieve from frostier temperatures that have returned today with a vengeance! Nice to enjoy though, while it was here. Hide away little bulbs! 🙂 Thanks, Annika!

Thanks, Jill. Last year a commenter thought the snow looked like cotton growing!

So atmospheric and beautiful picture Jennifer. O.k., last winter…but it was there.
We have the same weather as you, I have even been doing some work in the garden and found lots of high bulbs grown and buds on bushes and trees.
