A Moment With Maisie

Alright, I admit it.I am clearly the more introverted feline in this two-cat family.
Often the loner – the diametric opposite of my sister Vivian –
you will usually find me shying away from the spotlight.
Yes, I am a lap cat, and an affectionate one at that…
…but Vivian is the more “in your face” sister,
and the more photogenic one,
so naturally she gets the lion’s share of attention.
I’m the quiet and cautious girl who moves with stealth,
who wonders why Vivian is so annoyingly vocal.
And even though I might seem timid,
I’m actually more “alpha” than Viv.
I guess that’s why Jennifer says I’m the glue that holds us all together.

    1. Thanks! Aw, your two kitties were so cute there together. Yes, it must be a thing in a two-cat home, where someone has to be the hogger of attentions and the other fades into the background. And Joshua, I haven’t read the word “harrumph” used in quite a while!

  7. This was such a cute post, Maisie. Yes, I am used to your sister taking over the blog from your human. When Teemu was a very young cat, he ruled the roost. Then he got older (he is now 14!) and Parker kind of ‘moved in’ so to speak. But Teemu is still the alpha cat–Parker will attest to that. Anyway, I think you are beautifully photogenic. You remind me of my Kitty (RIP). She was quiet like you, but gorgeous!

    1. Thank you, Lois, and bless you for thinking I’m photogenic too. Can you believe Viv and I will turn 10 this summer? 14, wow, that seems old to me! I’m sorry about your Kitty, I really am (especially if I remind you of her). She sounds like she was a very special cat. Love, Maisie. ❤️

      1. I saw that, but I was hoping for a tweet where that was the only picture so it would show up in the tweet and in people’s timelines directly. The instagram pics require a click. Gosh, I’m so picky, aren’t I? 😉

  12. Oh I am. Definitely. By Casey, my lab. When I get in bed at night (with husby), the dog leaves the bed. I think he’s angry at me for being closer to husby. Just doesn’t get the whole human dynamic thing.
