The Daily Post challenge for photographers this week is to show three similar images. I came up with two versions from winter and summer here on Perry’s Point.
Ice Storm Aftermath
Seashells on Rocks
Now that March is marching toward us, this photographer is growing a smidge weary of the snow and ice. Thoughts swing to the anticipation of warm weather and the new life that Spring unfurls. I remember this colony of mollusks, better known as seashells, from last summer.
Shelled mollusks are not the only things living on these rocks. Colonies of tiny, white rock barnacles are everywhere. Barnacles are arthropods, related to crab and lobster.
I’m ready to trade the ice for seashells. Are you?

Ice storms are so devasting but leave such beauty behind. I couldnt stop taking pictures (I’m from Ontario). Your crunchy grass pics are gorgeous. I’m still loving the ice and snow, though.

Jennifer, we just had three days of non-stop snowing (unusual for here) and I could not agree with you more… It serves me right for wanting to take some more winter shots. I LOVE your snow pictures – so beautiful!

I love seeing pictures from where you live… I’m always amazed by the beauty! Your photography even makes ice look beautiful (I’m not a fan of winter!) I love how everything seems encapsulated in ice during your winters.

We’re still in the thick of winter here, but the temperatures are beginning to climb, thank heavens. The weather has been unpredictable almost everywhere this year though, hey?

Jennifer those ice pictures are stunning, I am actually looking forward to winter although we do not get snow on the beaches and I love my beach walks best in winter when there is only me, the kids and the wind for company
