Travel Theme: Architecture

Ailsa’s travel-themed photo challenge this week is Architecture.

While I was out and about in the older section of St. John’s last month, I stopped to admire some of the colourful Victorian rowhouses near the downtown. Tourists come every year looking for the street called Jelly Bean Row, but there is no one street. It is the nickname given to all the vibrantly painted row houses in the downtown area.

  1. I love the houses in ST. JOhn’s. There’s a little street near … oh heck can’t think of it but it’s also near that big hotel just under Signal Hill, there’s four houses in a row, identical, called the Four Sisters

  2. This one of my favourite aspects of the east coast. I love the sea of colour, door after door! I don’t know this show (my TV viewing is pretty limited). But now I’m intrigued to watch.

    1. Quite pretty, aren’t they? Our house here on the Point has similar bay windows. My husband and I are considering a more vibrant colour next time we paint, but having trouble deciding on which one!
