how can it be I feel this way
it makes no sense to me
a melancholy morning
then joy at half past three
a kaleidoscope of happiness
edged with a lace of tears
does catch me unawares
a time of life condition
or something strange – more dire
dichotomy of tenderness
enveloped in a fire
it burns a path inside me
keeps me alive these days
but when the flame does dwindle
enter darkness and malaise

Diana sent me and I’m glad she did – love it!
Aw, I appreciate the comment. Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂
Love the poem and the photos. It is that colour red again you said you liked in a previous post. 🙂
Yes, I think a theme has developed, namely, I am an intense individual! LOL
Thanks, Elizabeth. x 🙂
Deep thinker I see.
Loved the photos, added to the story..
Thank you, Shaun!
As I am learning to explore writing, this helps.
And it was Beautiful..
Jennifer, this sounds so familiar (since I’m over 50)! I love the punch at the end – including the photos.
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thank you, Wendy, for commenting. And for your empathy!
I think we can feel both too. I like when I’m crying (not that part) but then I start laughing when I think about what I look like crying… Ok … ya… I’m weird…
OK, then we both are! Is that what you meant? 😉
no I’m referring to me! Does your crying make you laugh too? My daughter thinks it’s hillarious when I do that. 😦
Diana I’m just fooling with ya. 🙂 But yes I am like that too! And sometimes the other way around, honestly. Just the hormones I think.
Hormones are fun aren’t they? Have you seen the second talk commercials? They’re outrageously funny! This isn’t the commercial but… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44yqoopIKgY
Ha ha, I can identify with this! Thanks for the laugh x
I tried to find the actual commercial but this is all I found…
Oh my, talking about emotion! Diana, thank you for making my blog your Friday Pick and making my day! I am so touched and honoured. And I assure you I am running the gamut of emotions now! You are a sweetheart, and I wish you were close enough to give you a hug. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 xoxo
My pleasure Jennifer! 🙂
Hey jennifer I think we can feel both emotions at the same time especially since becoming a mother. Beautiful piece by the way.
I don’t know, in my case I think it may be the “nanny hormones”. lol Thanks, Kath.
Love it 🙂
Glad you liked it. 🙂
..er, loved it. 🙂
nice entry photos..
